Got a new magazine, Burlesque Bible in WH Smiths yesterday (well, it's classed as a bookazine i.e. has more pages/is more expensive than a standard magazine). I finished reading the Immodesty Blaize novel, Tease. It was OK, I got quite into it by the end but it did drag on a bit. It was just an average bonkbuster with a sprinkling of burlesque background to spice things up. Still, I'd love to see it turned into a mini-series. I finally saw my DVD of Burlesque Undressed. I enjoyed it but it is a bit of a beginners guide to burlesque so if you already know a bit about the subject you may feel it's a bit sketchy. Nice profile of Billie Holliday (I'd still love them to do one on Lydia Lunch) plus a little interview with Patrick Wolf where he said he got thrown out of a Madonna concert for kissing his boyfriend.
